UNITED STATES MARINE CORP EMBLEM For your consideration is a stunning, vintage, cabachon. A West German glass piece, reverse carved intaglio, of the United States Marine Corp Emblem, in a georgeous deep burgandy red color. This cabachon is over 50 years old. The size is a 10mm by 14mm oblong glass cabachon. It is in great condition, a very clear United States Marine emblem done in gold relief etching and hand painted. It features the USMC logo of the eagle and the globe. This terrific deep red glass piece is in wonderful vintage condition. It comes complete with a hanging hook ready to put on your favorite chain to wear! The unusual backing for this piece is a stunning and unbelieveably deep burgandy red !!! VERY RARE. My picture does not do this piece justice! It is so stricking and displays excellent workmanship, the kind not seen anymore. Each gold etched emblem has been individually and tediously hand painted. This is a georgeous pendant and is quite a conversation piece when worn. It is a perfect piece, something vintage and unusual, and something you don't see much of anymore. All of the vintage cabachons are extremely rare, but I have never seen this USMC piece before. These cabachons were sometimes called intaglios, rosettes, reverse crystals or "Cabs".
