This brass hooded and gimbaled binnacle was made by Kelvin & Wilfrid White Co.,Boston & New York . Overall height including base 34.5" The square base is 14"x" The wood housing and stand are 20.5" high. And 11"diameter.The brass compass housing and binnacle hood are 14"high. Overall height including base 34.5" It is fitted onto a full-sized circular pedestal, on a rectangular base equipped with 4 original large brass bolts for secure mounting. The compass looks like it works.It has liquid and floats freely. T is a dial or gauge on the front just above the door. T are all kinds of attachments inside the door of the pedestal.Magnetic rods and some wood boards attached to the inside of the housing. Ask for pictures .We have a canvas cover for it also. I can not see any damage except on the left side of the door opening t is a patch of old tape residue I was unable to remove for fear of marring the wood. The binnacle is ready to be crated and packaged securely. We are ready to help make shipping arrangements after auction closes. The total weight packing included is approximately 90 lbs.
