You are bidding on a vintage Marklin Grand Station No. 419. This station is in excellent condition and has all the parts including the opaque plastic covering the inside of the windows on the ground floor. There is a minimal amount of paint loss and the only real damage I can find is a scrape and small metal distortion along the bottom of one side (see an enlargement of the area in photo no. 6). The station measures 20.25” long by 5.25” wide by 6.5” high (all approximate dimensions). The station is stamped "MARKLIN Made in Germany" on the underside. The original box is in excellent condition with no tears or corner breaks. All of the original staples are intact. I acquired this from the widow of a US soldier who was stationed in Germany in the 1950’s. She does not recall the train set ever being used after they returned from Germany in the early 1960’s.
