Found at an estate sale is this vintage early 1960 MARX Blue Gray Civil War Battle set. Set comes with everything you see in the photos. Includes 49 grey clad (plus two broken), 48 blue clad, nine horses (five Calvary which still have both of their stirrups, one not in photo), four Abe Lincolns, General Grant, General Lee, two wagons, one cannon & caisson (damaged), bridge, tin house (in great shape) with plastic columns, stretcher (missing poles), cannon ball, mortar, both flags (US has pin broken off in base) and everything else you see. A handful of the soldiers have missing guns or swords. The vast majority are fine. of special interest are the four wagon drives (three beige, one blue) that still have their full whips. According to my husband, these were the first items to be chewed on by eight year old boys. Also one dead horse (rare). This set is as we bought it at an auction. Nothing has been added. All the solders are the same blue or gray. Very unusual to find this set with so many pieces and with so few damaged. A real find and a great addition to your collection.PLEASE ask questions before bidding! If purchasing more than one item, PLEASE WAIT for invoice before paying.THANKS FOR LOOKING!!!!!!
