THESE MASONIC SCROLLS ARE FROM SCOTTVILLE MASONIC LODGE NO. 426. IN SCOTTVILLE, ILLINOIS. I HAVE SEVERAL SCROLLS UP FOR AUCTION FROM LODGE NO. 426 IN SCOTTVILLE SO CHECK OUT MY OTHER AUCTIONS. THIS PARTICULAR AUCTION INCLUDES two SCROLLs FROM 1800-1900'S. IF ANY OF YOU ARE OUT T AND SEE THESE LISTINGS AND KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THESE SCROLLS AND I ALSO HAVE SOME OLD MASONIC PICTURES I'M LISTING PLEASE E-MAIL ME AND LET ME KNOW IF YOU KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT MASONIC LODGE NO. 426 SCOTTVILLE, ILLINOIS. THESE TWO CHARTS READ FRIENSHIP, MORALITY, AND BROTHERLY LOVE . AND HAS FIRST SECTION, SECOND SECTION,AND THIRD . IT HAS PICTURES REPRESENTING EACH SECTION. AT THE BOTTOM IT READS MASTER MASON'S CHART. BOTH THE TOP AND BOTTOM OF ONE SCROLL STILL HAVE IT'S WOOD IN PLACE. OVERALL REMARKABLE CONDITION . THE OTHER SCROLL OR CHART IS OF THE SAME SCROLL FROM 1800'S-TO EARLY 1900'S. THE TOP WOOD OF CHART IS MISSING ON THIS ONE AND IT HAS SOME BAD CREASING IN THE MIDDLE AND TOP IS TORN AND THROUGHOUT CHART TEARS AND T . BOTTOM WOOD OF SCROLL STILL ATTACHED. PICTURES VERY LEGIBLE. STAIN AND T STILL NOT BAD FOR AGE. AGAIN THIS AUCTION IS FOR 2 SCROLLS CHARTS. THEY ARE THE SAME SCROLL. I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT THESE EXCEPT THAT THEY CAME FROM SCOTTVILLE LODGE NO. 426. I DO KNOW THAT THIS LODGE WAS ORGANIZED ON OCTOBER 4TH 1865. I WANTED TO LET EVERYONE KNOW THAT A GENTLEMAN E-MAILED ME AND WAS KIND ENOUGH TO LET ME KNOW THAT THIS IS CALLED A MASONIC DEGREE CHART. THEY WERE USED BEFORE TECHNOLOGY MOVED THE FRATERNITY TO SLIDES. THIS IS A FIRST DEGREE CHART. AND HE SAYS THEY ARE IN REMARKABLE CONDITION. THIS NICE MAN IS A CURATOR FOR ILLINOIS LODGE OF RESEARCH. i received another e-mail from a gentleman and he said this particular chart is called a different chart and it is a third degree chart not first so i wanted you to be aware of his e-mail and i have posted it below so you can judge from it and my other e-mail which i discribed in my description. thanks. as i also told you before i know only that these are from scottville, illinois Lodge no. 426. and that they are old. i will be putting on a framed document of the ancient free and accepted masons of illinois with a gold seal and dated 1904 and also a large framed chart in a heavy frame that reads fellow craft so be watching for those real soon and thanks to all you bidders. These are very rare and once they are gone t will be no more.
