This is for a vintage Mattel Dishonest John pull string talking puppet. I will do my best to describe him and his condition even if it seems to be something minor. He has no tears or holes to the black cloth part although it appears a bit faded to me and does have a couple white marks. His pull string does pull out and then retracts with no issues. There is a bit of distortion/crackling to his voice but nothing too major and it may be normal. Sometimes when you pull his string the sayings seem to "catch" at the end but that only happened a couple times while I tested it and it seemed like it was just how it caught on the fabric. I can make out what he says clearly: "Here comes that silly sea serpent Cecil", I'm in love with a sweet guy...me", I'm an old meanie and I love it". There are no cracks to his plastic parts on his hands and face. He does have some wear marks where the paint has come off and small unknown marks on his face and hands but I have not attempted to clean him at all, I only dusted him off. He still has the Mattel tag attached although it is dingy from age.Please understand he is a much older puppet and is by far not new. I am by no means a toy expert but this is in very good condition for it's age. This is being sold "as is" so please feel free to ask any questions prior to purchasing and I will do my best to answer.
