Extra pulling power! Mechanical Frame Corkscrew with spring assistance This is a nice example of a vintage, mechanical, spring assisted corkscrew. There is no maker's mark but it is based on a design by Dunish and Sch�ler. Spring assisted corkscrews are typically German and often referred to as a Hercules corkscrew. It features a frame and a spring loaded shaft. The frame is placed around the neck of the bottle and the handle is turned. As the worm is embedded in the cork, the spring aids the removal of the cork. This is a nice design and it provides a novel way of removing the cork. It measures approximately 8cm (3") across and 18cm (8") from top to tip. It has some surface marking but is in good condition. It has a nicely shaped, red coloured, wood handle. Corkscrews are fun to use and fun to collect. This would make an excellent gift and will be carefully packed and clearly labeled. This is a Buy it Now , sale.
