Offered for auction is a Vintage Upjohn Doctors Medical Medicine Bag . This bag has never been used and still has two original hang tags. The first tag reads "This is leather tanned by W.D. Byron & Sons, Inc. Williamsport, Md. using the scuff resistant Titekote process. Byron Leather treated with Titekote resists scuffing, wears better, looks richer". The second tag reads " Since 1832 Oak tanned top grain leather by Byron. This article is covered with Genuine top grain leather. Choice grade steerhide frequently will show healed scratches as well as natural fat wrinkles. These do not affect serviceability -- They are expected by connoisseurs of fine leather. Proper care: Wipe when necessary with a clean cloth slightly dampened in mild soap suds. Then use a neutral wax. W.D. Byron & Sons, Inc. Williamsport, Maryland". Stamped on the bottom: "Upjohn Top Grain Genuine Cowhide". Engraved on the back of the latch "Swiss Made". This bag is 14" in length, 6" wide, 7 1/2" tall. It comes with the original key still packaged in a brown envelope. I did test the lock and key and it works perfectly. The interior of the bag has one pocket. The bag has never been used and it is stiff to open. It is in brand new condition with just a little age discoloration on the brass latch and lock. I was unable to determine an age for this bag.
