Up for bids is a super nice buckle back J.C. Higgins, model 1684 Mel Ott split finger. This adult, well padded horsehide glove is in excellent, used condition, for a glove almost 80 years old. Leather is soft and in excellent condition, with no rips, tears, cracks, holes, owner's ink. Lacing appears to be original and complete. Rolled leather piping and leather welting is in excellent condition, as well. Inside is also very nice with no rips, tears or holes but light wear from use. Says Genuine Horsehide on the inside heel area. Glove is 10" from heel to finger tips. Great collectible in this condition. Mel Ott played from 1926-47, all with the New York Giants. He was inducted into the Hall Of Fame in 1951.
