Just Fabulous toad inkwell!this little guy is made of cast metal and at one time was completely gold gilthe has lost some of his gold, especially on his lumpy backbut still totally coolhe appears to be holding a flower with a long stem that goes from one hand to the other and passes through one of his feetand the head of the flower is a pen holderThe entire top of his head raises (on a single hinge) to reveal a glass insert that is ink stained but unchippedhe is 3" tall and 2 1/2" wide a little over 2" front to backthe hinge is held in place by a small brass nail, not the original whatever it was there is a crack in the inside rim, where the glass liner sits, that extends right below the hingeprobably occurred when the original hinge pin broke.Still tight but visiblesee photo 11 a great addition to any frog collection INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS ALWAYS WELCOME!
