Vintage Metal Sign From B&O Railroad Coach #3002: "General Toilet" DESCRIPTION This is a vintage metal sign salvaged from the overhaul of a rail car from the Baltimore and Ohio (B&O) Railroad. The stainless steel sign contains the hand lettered blue painted inscription "General Toilet" and measures 17 3/4" long and 2 3/4" wide. T are two drilled holes for attaching the sign to the railroad car. On the reverse side, t is an authentication label stating that the sign was removed "From Food Bar Coach #3002 B&O RR." I purchased the sign over 25 years ago from the museum store at the B&O Railroad Museum located in Baltimore, Maryland. The B&O Railroad was one of the oldest railroads in the United States , with an original line from the port of Baltimore , Maryland , west to the Ohio River at Wheeling and Parkersburg , West Virginia . It is now part of the CSX system, and includes the oldest operational railroad bridge in the world. CONDITION The B&O General Toilet sign is in excellent condition.
