It's Ethel and Lucy go to Tijuana! Once a staple of border tourist traps, these old Mexican marionettes have become quite collectible of late. I had these marionettes in my old Phoenix store for years and purchased them from a Mexican peddler who offered older items. The body of each marionette measures 14" long and about 5" wide. With the strings extended, each marionette measures about 22" long. Handpainted accents, hand-sewn clothes and straw hats add to these little treasures. Plastic faces and hands. P&H on this auction in the US is $7.95, special handling and insurance available upon request. Electronic payments gladly accepted. !

We have been importing folk art since 1999 and we are thoughtful collectors who appreciate ethnographic and cultural art, and we understand and respect the meanings and subtleties behind everything we carry.
