VINTAGE MEXICO MEXICAN SILVER AMETHYST DECO BRACELET

DESCRIPTION : This is a FABULOUS wide silver bracelet that was handwrought in Mexico, in the late 1930's to early 1940's. It is masterfully crafted in a classic art deco style design ~ it consists of five large, convex, and very dimensional links ~ each link actually has three separate layers ~ the first is the base that is diamond shaped and is accented with silver domed balls and incised designs ~ the second layer has two separate pieces of silver that have silver domed ball accents with incised designs ~ the top is a gorgeous purple amethyst cabochon that is bezel set in silver and accented with twisted silver framing ~ magnificent! The links are connected with silver rectangular links. The clasp is a simple hook closure that is seen on much of the early Mexican silver jewelry. This is a very unique design and it is very well made ~ a grand asset to any vintage Mexican silver collection! SIZE: Inside circumference when closed is 7-5/8", width is 1-5/8", and weight is 66 grams. CONDITION : Superior vintage condition ~ no chips/cracks/breaks in amethyst gemstones only naturally occuring inclusions ~ no dings/dents to silver domed balls which is amazing for a bracelet that is over 70 years old ~ just about PERFECT! HALLMARKS : Simply hallmarked "SILVER, MEXICO" as much of the early Mexican silver jewelry was marked. This piece is at least 925 sterling silver but it is most likely crafted of a higher grade of silver than sterling since much of the early Mexican jewelry was made of 930-980 silver. PL EASE NOTE: Mexican vintage si lver jewelry is hand wrought, and tfore, not perfectly symmetrical ~ each piece will have variances that indicate that the piece is hand made ~ this does not constitute damage. Please look at all of the photos provided as they are a part of the description. Vintage pieces will show various signs of wear since they have been pre-loved ~ items are described to the best of my ability and any known damage will be noted.
