DESCRIPTION : First, I apologize for my photos ~ I was in Richmond (almost two hours from my home) much of the day today at the dentist (OUCH!) ~ got home late and ran out of light so I had to take some of my photos in incandescent lighting! You are bidding an EXTRAORDINARY silver and green onyx bracelet that was handwrought in Mexico, circa 1930's to early 1940's. This gorgeous bracelet is masterfully crafted in a very unique design that just SCREAMS art deco ~ it consists of seven very dimensional, thick silver links ~ they are half-round links that are accented with twisted silver wirework that runs in two channels that run horizonally on the links ~ the centers have gorgeous, rich green onyx cabochons that are in raised bezel settings. The designs are heavily oxidized which highlights the exquisite silverwork beautifully . The connections are unique ~ on one end of each link is a silver ball in the middle and on the other end t are two silver balls at the top and bottom ~ when the links are placed together, the balls match up and they are pin hinged internally which gives this lovely bracelet great design flow. The clasp is a tongue and box closure that works perfectly and closes with a crisp 'click'. This is a timelessly elegant Mexican bracelet ~ it is extremely well crafted ~ a unique, yet classical design that will always be in style ~ a grand asset to any vintage Mexican silver collection! Christmas will be before you know it ~ art-to-wear vintage Mexican silver is a gift that will last a lifetime! SIZE: Inside circumference when closed is 7-1/4", width is 3/4", and weight is 49 grams. CONDITION : Superior vintage condition ~ t are a couple of pin head sized indentions but nothing at all noticeable but wanted to mention for accuracy ~ rich, age associated patina to the silver (could be polished to a brilliant shine if new owner prefers that look) ~ no damage noted ~ just about PERFECT! HALLMARKS : Simply hallmarked "STERLING, MEXICO" as much of the early Mexican silver jewelry was marked. PLEAS E NOTE: Mexican vintage si lver jewelry is hand wrought, and tfore, not perfectly symmetrical ~ each piece will have variances that indicate that the piece is hand made ~ this does not constitute damage. Please look at all of the photos provided as they are a part of the description. Vintage pieces will show various signs of wear since they have been pre-loved ~ items are described to the best of my ability and any known damage will be noted.
