Vintage MIJ Memphis MG300 Electric Guitar Matsumoku Aria
No Reserve Auction !
You are bidding on a Vintage Late 70's to Early 80's Memphis MG300 Electric Guitar.
It Features Stock Bill Lawrence Rail Humbuckers - loud, clear and very punchy.
The 24 fret Rosewood Fingerboard is in good condition for it‘s age, frets have plenty of meat left on them. Brass Nut, ABR style Bridge with Brass Saddles & Stop Tailpiece.
That’s a Lot of Brass - including the Nut, the String Saddles, AND the dot inlay markers, which is somewhat unusual.
3 Way Switch , 2 Volume / 2 Tone. See Photo. - there’s a crack on the front pickup ring.
Original Tin Top Tuners have been upgraded to Sealed Ping Tuners.
Guitar has a great MIJ feel, it plays well and sounds great. Piano like sustain & clarity.
The finish is very nice overall. There are some minor scratches on it and it shows signs of use, nothing unusual for a 25+ year old guitar. Clean Overall would be my call.
With a pro set-up & some tweeking, this axe should certainly play as good as it looks.
Made in Japan by Matsumoku.
Matsumoku built many early Greco guitars as well as Memphis, Vantage, Mako, Westbury, some MIJ Epihones, Westminster, Cutler, Lyle, & Fell.
