NO RESERVE This is a Lovely Graduated Mikimoto Necklace unsigned circa 1940/50's that comes with its original Mikimoto Vintage box marked with the "Mikimoto Logo K Mikimoto & Co. Ltd. -- Distributed by Simpson Jewellery Pty. Ltd." (Simpson is a very well known Jewellery Designer from the 1930 to 1960's in Australia.) The box does have some of green felt worn thin on the top and side, (See Ebay photo of the green Box) otherwise the box is in good clean order 7/10. It has a copy of the certificate of authenticity from Simpson Jewellery Pty.Ltd. stating that the Pearls in the Necklace are Genuine Product of K. Mikimoto & Co. Ltd. Tokyo, Japan. T are 98 x 3mm - 7.5mm Round Pearls with an excellent lustre, knotted between and 20 inches long (approx. 51cm) includes clasp, a few tiny blemishes not noticable unless looked for with a glass. Slight off white in colour with a hint of cream overtones. Happy to say that these Pearls have been into my Jeweller Prouds who are Authorized Mikimoto Dealers for cleaning and checking and they agree that they are Mikimoto. The thread appears to be clean and in good order and the Pearls are in excellent condition with no signs of wear at all. Strung to a White gold clasp set with a tiny Rubie and stamped 9ct.
