You are bidding on a vintage horse bit. I am not very familiar with horse bits and could not find one like it to list it by type. If I described it wrong please send an e-mail and I will post additional info. This bit is marked, on both cheek pieces on the inside it is stamped U.S. T are two small holes on either side of the mouth bar that appear to have held a trim piece. At the front t is also a small hole on each side w behaps a small decorative piece was mounted. It measures 5" across the mouth, 6" outside to outside at the widest point after it flares out towards the back, the rings are 1-1/2" diameter id, t is a 1" wide by 1/4" slot at the front on each side and at the rear each side, plus a small 1/2" by 3/16" slot at an angle. The cheek pieces are 8-1/2" long. T is some surface rust, otherwise in good condition except missing the trim pieces. It weighs 1 pound 3.8 ounces, it will ship below 2 pounds.
