I’m thinningout my collections… Up for auction: Vintage, mixed metal parrot sculpture Though unsigned, it appears to be the work of famous Mexican artist Sergio Bustamante. It came from an estate that contained many large signed Bustamante animals from the 80's. Attributed to Sergio Bustamante. with the original wrapped perch. Overall dimensions, about 22 inches long. Several dents and light surface age tarnish...as a close inspection would reveal. Parrot's first plum is separated from the original solder point, at one side, not wobbly or noticeable, just slightly at an angle unlike the other two. Overlapping feathers are hand formed and composed of layered sheets of copper and brass. Parrot sits on a arched hoop with a loop at the top for hanging.
