Up for purchase is a MOBIL two-compartment Bulk Oil Lubester made by Tokheim. This unit is extraordinarily clean and nice . It is on four casters, each of which swivels, and it rolls very smoothly. The body has only a very few, minor dings in it; the oil has been cleaned out. Each compartment holds, according to the measuring sticks (both of which are original and included), about 32 gallons each. The pumps are free, and according to the tags are Tokheim pumps (and are consecutively serial numbered: 259264 and 259265). The glass cylinders on top are original; the one on the right side has a small chip right at the base (see the close up picture). The pegasus (flying red) horses and vinyl Mobiloil lettering was cut and professionally applied by a local sign shop. To the top of the tanks is 32", and the overall height is 62"; the unit is 43" wide and 17" deep. The restoration is not a perfect one; the paint coverage is good, but there are some paint runs and rough spots in the paint job, as can be seen in the one close up picture. All pieces of the lubester are orignal, with all spouts, fill tubes, covers, plates, pans, etc. present; the only non original part is one wood knob (the one pump handle "completely round" knob). This unit is VERY ATTRACTIVE and more complete than any of these lubesters Mr. Boyd has ever had.

This lubester belongs to Mr. Kenneth Boyd of Roosevelt , Oklahoma , and he is the one who found and restored it. Mr. Boyd is 80 years old and has lived all of his life on the farm that has been in his family for over 100 years. He has been restoring petroleum products for several years now, having restored approximately 200 gravity flow and electric pumps to date (among other restoration projects). Mr . Boyd would be happy to answer any questions you have about this particular pump. You may reach him at between the hours of 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM (Central Time) daily.

This luester is quite heavy and bulky for shipping purposes. It will either need to be picked up here in Oklahoma or be shipped by commercial "freight." There is a $100.00 charge for strapping (with a rachet strap) the pump to a shipping pallet and wrapping it in heavy cardboard and cellophane if you choose to have the lubester shipped to you. Mr. Boyd will be happy to arrange for a freight company to transport and deliver this item to the address you provide (all, understandably, at your expense); the address will have to be that of a business (your business or someone you know), for the freight company does not deliver to residential addresses. Feel free to call Mr. Boyd at and he can secure for you the shipping expenses.

The "Buyer" is responsible for all packing, transportation and delivery fees from Roosevelt , OK , 73564. It is also to be understood that the buyer assumes all liability associated with freighting (breakage of the glass cylinders, damage to the skins, etc.). [Though packed well for shipment, out of about 100 pumps shipped by freight thus far, only five have received damage, but it can happen, and--we want it to be clear--the buyer assumes the liablity for damage sustained in shipment.] While Mr. Boyd does a commendable job in packing, if a pallet is dropped or a forklift runs into a wall or the side of a truck, the unit is subject to damage.
