Up for auction is a vintage silver ring of ultra mod design looking to be straight out of the 60's. An intriguing piece with a signature wide-backed band which tapers down at the front w the 3/4" diameter orb or dish like face is placed...I have used a U.S. One Cent coin to help you understand this dimension. A pierced convex covering sets atop and in one of the cut aways a single 'thing' stands. Super attractive with its extremely deep patina which accentuates its minimalistic style, this is probably a pinkie ring for the majority of us :) sized at 4.5. It is unmarked although it tests positive for sterling with acid and regrettably it is unsigned...most likely a studio piece and American made. Please refer to photos for your take on age/origin, design and condition. T are are surface rubs consistent with use and wear, no gross damages, and that deep patina. A great modernist piece with a ton of appeal, simply in silver. Sweet, any interest for your wearable collection? I purchased this second hand at a local weekly market in Oakland from a woman who handle vintage jewelry and while I have no specific history on the ring I'm fairly confident she acquired through an estate, that being her typical source of goods.
