You're bidding on a very nice piece of Monterrey Western Ware - the large 12 1/2" bowl made by the company. These were probably used, along with other tableware in this pattern, for outdoor barbecues, maybe to hold potato salad for a crowd. Who knew how collectible this would become? Pardon my bad photos (wrong light, wrong time of day), but the bowl has a few small dings...one in the bottom, less than a quarter inch, two on the edge (last photo may show these....they are also small. And one on the scan of the bottom of the bowl showing the trademark (it's also about 1/4". The bowl presents nicely, however. Display it, or use it for chips next time you have a cookout....it's a very attractive piece of Western Americana. Thanks for looking!
