The Handmaiden of Westminster, Vermont is proud to offer this vintage motorcycle kidney belt with studs and "jewels". This unique belt came from an estate in rural Vermont, with many items from the 30's, 40's and 50's. Although unmarked, it has the distinct Bucko design, feel and appearance. It measures 35 1/2" long and should fit a waist size of 29", 30" or 31". The center piece is 9 1/4" from top to bottom. I counted 181 studs and 10 jewels. None are missing. The overall condition of this belt is very good vintage. About 3" is missing from the middle strap that fits into the buckle, but the belt still buckles fine. The black leather is good and strong and, while not appearing brand new, it still retains good color with only minor browning and scratching. The sides have four white leather strips; giving this belt the "zebra" look. Most of the studs have scuff marks on them from wear (this belt was not sitting on a shelf somew The jewels are in tact and strong; the red one has a teeny chip on it. What is particularly interesting about this belt is a "Pat Pending" designation at the far end. This leads me to wonder if this was one of the original, prototype Bucko belts that came out before the kidney belts became popular. I admit that this is speculation on my part.
