I have been retained by the Hughes Estate to exclusively sell for them over the coming months. Mr. Hughes was a filmmaker for almost forty years and traveled the world making over 200 films! Upon retiring he returned to his boyhood home of Indianapolis and began revisiting places from his past. At this time he also began collecting extensively mainly related to his profession, but he also collected art, books, toys and much more all of which reflected in some way his love of movies and childhood memories. This is a rare and extensive collection and I am honored to assist the family and ensure that these items are appreciated for years to come!! This offering is an extremely nice vintage cast iron toy cap gun. It is c. late 1940s/early 1950s! It is a No. 6 Mountie 50 shot repeating toy cap pistol with original box. The box shows it's age and is in fragile condition (see photos). The gun is 6" long, grips are nice and clean and are like new. Gun is in excellent condition with all working parts in order. The end has been plugged! You also get three boxes of caps: two boxes of unused Blast Roll caps with 5 rolls of 250 shots and one opened box of Sure Shot with three unused rolls and two partial rolls.
