VINTAGE Movie / Film Poster THE LONGEST DAY 1962 UK Quad Original43 International Stars The Longest Day (20th Century Fox, 1962). British Quad (30"X 40"). This massive, star-studded recreation of the D-Day invasionwas one of the first war films to depict the enemy speaking in their own language (with subtitles provided), and utilized as many authentic locations as was possible. It was a pet project for producer Darryl F. Zanuk, and his faith was rewarded by the film's huge success, which helped offset the costs of Cleopatra , which was being filmed concurrently. John Wayne heads up the huge cast, which also includes Richard Burton, Eddie Albert, Red Buttons, Sean Connery, Henry Fonda, Mel Ferrer, Robert Mitchum, Roddy McDowall, Rod Steiger, and many more. This evocative, unrestored British quad features a moody shot out the window of a bunker as the invasion begins In excellent o riginal condition, Colours are rich & bright, No pin holes,tears or tape marksSome slight creasing bottom left and right edge.
