HUGE Murano glass fish block aquarium up for auction. This one is super nice and has it all, seaweed, corals, bubbles and four great expressive fish. No chips, digs, or deep scratches, just wear that you would expect to find on the bottom and maybe one or two fine scratches on the sides that even I had to look for to find. This is a serious collector's Murano art piece, a one of a kind work of art from glass masters made in the 1950s. When lighted from below this would be awesome in your collection. It is HUGE for a Murano aquarium, 10 inches long!!, a little over 6 inches high, and two inches wide at the bottom (tapers gently to 1 1/2 inches wide at the top). Stunning fish with beautiful colors, the top two are a shimmery blue green, and the bottom two are brown/coppery colors with gold flecks that really reflect the light. The "seaweed" come in shades of blue-green, and brownish tones, the back and front have what looks to be a orange-red thick coral branches on the side bottoms. This block has it all and it is truely gorgeous. It is very heavy as you would expect a slab of Murano glass to be...ten pounds. The front is flawless and the back has a few pincher lines w the glass artist held it with a tool while forming it. They won't show when lighted, and only goes to show the true effort that went into creating this aquarium. Scattered throughout are tiny little bubbles that add to the water effect and the gently rippled glass makes this piece so life-like. I know you collectors will want this one because Murano fish blocks this size are quite rare and valuable. I do have a buy it now price and will only take Pay Pal, no other forms of payment.
