This auction is for a 1969 Columbia Mach 5 bike. I am the original owner of this bike. It is in original condition. I have not replaced anything on this bike or done any restoration. Around 1970 ,I added an after-market generator powered headlight /taillight. The condition of that light does not look too good. The generator looks ok but the light and tail light has some surface rust and are missing a lens. I t is currently not working. The brake cables look good and are working. The rear brakes are missing 1 of the rubber pads which compress to stop the wheel. The front drum brake works fine. The bike has shimano gears and a 5 speed shifter which work fine as well as the shift indicator which tells you what gear you are in. The wheels spin nice and straight. The kickstand works and the hand grips are in good condition.The pedals are solid. The seat is in good overall condition. The vinal is soft and t is a very small tear in the rear of the lower seat which is hardly noticeable. T is a scrape on the chain guard from the pedal. The crome is in good condition. with very minor pitting. The tires are flat. You may get away with just replacing the tubes, they went flat 2 years ago in my garage and have some rot on the sidewalls. I rode this bike when I moved @ 4 years ago and it ran fine.
