This is a very interesting vintage music box alarm clock. The base is metal. A combination of shiny chrome and possibly an enamel paint finish. The color is probably copper or a burnished orange. The finish has some discoloration and a couple of small chips. The ends of the music box base has a speaker area for the sound. T is some sort of covering on the inside like a speaker cloth. I looks like it may be some kind of paper. That covering has holes in it. On the back is stamped into the metal is "Made in Germany". I don't see any more markings to indicate the manufacturer. It would be pre WWII. Also stamped in the metal on the back are letters indicating what the knobs and such are for. T is one missing key for setting the hour in the center of the back. The face of the clock is in excellent condition. The hands are metal and in very good condition. The hand for the alarm is very nice. It is the long one in the picture and has a curved arrow on one end. I have wound it and it ticks. I can't set the time because of the missing key. I have set the alarm and it does activate and play beautiful music. It is 4-1/2 inches tall including the little finial on the top. The base is 3-1/4 inches across and about 2-1/4 inches deep. I'm sure it may need some attention and cleaning to make everything work properly. I am selling it as is. I don' read more
