Vintage Nambe 503 Silver Alloy Fruit Bowl LARGE

This is a fantastic vintage alloy metal fruit bowl by the Nambe company. It is a long oval with flat beveled edges on each end and a tapered underside. The metal is Nambe alloy which is designed to hold heat or cool longer than other metals. Nambe invented this metal as an alternative to sterling silver so these large pieces could be made at a fraction of the cost (Got this info off the Nambe website). This is their model 503 fruit bowl. My understanding is that this number makes this piece from the mid 1950s which was the start of the Nambe company. It is 18" long, 9 3/4" wide and 3 1/4" high. The Nambe name and number are embossed in the underside and it still retains the original label. Condition is excellent for the age. It has very light surface abrasions as to be expected but is still highly shiny and has no chips, bends, dents or cracks. This is a great vintage piece of Nambe metalware for any Mid Century Modern collection. Please write for rates as I charge only the exact cost of shipping plusDelivery Confirmation.
