postal This Vintage Nautical Table Lantern measures 11" tall and the base measures almost 4 1/2" round. The bottom of the lantern turns and then drops out to show that a light fixture has been placed inside it. This fixture works and when turned on shows the Beautiful Deep Blue Color of the thick glass shade. The top of the lantern has a working brass socket w a cloth shade would be placed on top of the bulb . The lantern is working, but as in all electrical items, shoul be rewired for total peace of mind. The brass is pitted and is not shinny and bright. The Beautiful glass shade is in GOOD condition The Lantern is well made with the brass guards sourrounding the Blue shade haveing wonderful brass screws holding them in place with nice small 6 sided nuts holding them tight on the inside of the lantern. . I do not see a makers mark. It weighs in at over 2 1/2" pounds. Please do not hesitate to ask questions.
