This listing is for a vintage Navajo cuff handmade in the first part of the last century by a Navajo artist using natural American green turquoise and sterling silver. It's hallmarked inside the cuff for sterling. The bracelet features a large green turquoise center stone that is oval with a high polish. The turquoise is a bright vivid green, almost the same shade as jade. The stone sits tightly in a smooth bezel and is accented on each side with an applied sterling figural design that is unique and unusual. The entire cuff is covered in classic geometric Native American stamping. The silver and the turquoise are in excellent condition with no damage. The bracelet is light and flexible. It weighs 12 grams. The width is a very decent half inch in front and tapers towards the back. The inside circumference is 5.25 inches with a flexible opening of slightly larger than one inch. The stone is 10mm wide and 15mm long, a good size for one of these older souvenir cuffs. The sterling has acquired a lovely warm patina. These bracelets are elegant, sophisticated and fun to wear. They bring back the romance of the American west. Thank you for looking.
