I received this as a gift from my best friend who was a Navajo. We would travel to her reservation on the weekends in New Mexico while stationed at Ft. Sam (Houston Texas during the Vietnam War) as army nurses in the infamous Burn Unit. Native Americans honor warriors and I was gladly accepted as a friend as my friend and I were best friends until she passed away of cancer about 15 years ago. This was made by an artisan of the tribe. Her grandparents made jewelry. This piece is in pristine condtion. You will NOT be disappointed! Expect this piece to exceed your picky' expectations. In Social Studies, I teach the Great Nations & always wore this during the weeks I taught about the SW Native Americans. The children loved touching this collar. This will be bubblewrapped to insure it safely gets to you. I have other pieces I would never sell.
