Just bought from an estate in Grand Forks, ND. Was purchased on the East Coast, maybe the RI area, many years ago. I couldn't find this one anyplace I looked online. Something like it was listed as a spitoon slop bucket. It's about 12" tall, 10" at the middle and 8 1/4: across the top opening. It is in wonderful condition, not a chip or a crack in it. Must have been some sober sailers using this spitoon. I can't say enough about the condition, I doubt if you could ever find a better one. The USN is super clear. I would guess this dates fron the 1890's but I'm no expert. I usually don't sell with a reserve but I have to on this one. Will be shipped very carefully.
