We are reorganizing, redecorating, and clearing out 40 years of accumulated clutter. This is a sweet deep blue needlepoint in what looks like it's original gilt lined mahogany frame. The needlepoint design pictures a young ladey seated in a high backed chair next to lamp and potted plants within a stylized border. At the top is a seated fiture in a horse drawn cart. The background is a deep and subtle teal blue with accent colors of maroon, beige, other shades of blue, ivory, and touches of pastel greens, pink and yellow. Measures approx. 16 1/4 by 14 1/4 inches, the needlepoint itself measures 11 x 9 /14 inches, the frame is 2.5 inches wide all around. the needlespoint is in lovely original condition. The frame has some mars / scrathes on it that should buff out fairly easily and the paper covering the back framing job has long worn off, exposing the netting. this is wired and ready to hang. Written on the back is Gillon 9/58 x 11 5/8 - 5490 With a low opening bid and no reserve you can just have fun with this and grab a bargain. Either the needlepoint or the frame alone is worth much more than the opening bid.
