Vintage Nega File Wood Storage Box

This vintage box is made by the Nega File Co. of Easton Penna.

The box is neatly joined at the corners with box joints (a/k/a "finger" joints). Not sure about the wood - may be cherry, as I've been informed that cherry wood was used by the company for making these boxes. Hinges are intact - a little finish is missing off of one of the back hinges, and the front clasp/hinge has is slightly discolored on the right side - brown/rust. Finish is in nice shape, except for numerous surface scratches - hard to capture in the photos, but I think you can see some evidence of this in the second photo - bottom. Overall - good, clean, solid condition.

Outside dimensions: 12 3/4" X 4 3/4" X 5 1/4".

Inside: each side compartment measures a little over 3 3/4" across -- the middle section measures 4 1/4" across. View-master reels in t sleeve fit nicely in each side section, and a model C viewer fits nicely in the middle. The middle portion has a piece of green felt on the bottom.

Would make a nice showcase for your reels and a viewer.
