George Nelson Slat Bench is an opportunity to own a nice original piece of Mid Century Modern furniture. This bench was designed by George Nelson. Nelson, a contemporary of the legendary Charles Eames, designed this bench for the Herman Miller Company. This is a VINTAGE bench and is SIGNED with a label. The bench measures 56.5" in length and is of ebonized birch contruction. As well as being a collectible piece, it is also quite useful as a coffee table in a Mid Century setting. Condition : Please note that this bench is 40-50 years old and thus has some degree of wear, including areas of paint loss. I tried to show this with the photos. I believe the wear is more character of the era than anything that diminishes the bench. Other than the paint loss, it is of solid construction, with no other damage or areas of repair. This said, I believe you'll love this bench, but if you're looking for a perfect condition bench, please do not bid. This is a wonderful bench.
