You are bidding on a vintage The New Little Giant 25 lb. trip hammer, made by Mayer Bros Mankato, Minn. This hammer has been sitting out for a couple of years. The previous owner said it worked before his shop was blown down in a wind storm. I would guess that the motor will not run although I have not tested it. The frame is in excellent condition save for one spot in lower frame, looks like a bolt is broken off but the hole does not go through as I reached up inside the frame and felt no hole and no bolt the spot is no more than an 1/8 of an inch deep and does not affect the frame whatsoever - see last picture. T are no cracks or welds on the frame, motor mount is kind of home made, one trip arm was obviously made by someone to replace the original, easily seen in the pictures. The guides look fairly good, not a lot of wear, again see the pictures. The dies are well used, the clutch is shown in the pictures released, and engaged, and appears to work, not a lot of slop in the main shaft. The main frame is very good the rest may need some work, I've never run this machine and so I am selling it as is and as described. This is a belt drive hammer, someone has added a motor to it. This is a heavy machine, shipping is going to be expensive and a hassle, I would rather not have to move it and so I would prefer a buyer pick up in Napoleon, ND. I will assist with loading into your vehicle. If I have to ship it to you, the cost to get it on a pallet and to Yellow Freight (the only LTL company in Bismarck) will be $200. The additional shipping costs from Bismarck to your destination will also be your responsibility . My best guess is it will weigh close to 1000 lbs so if you need a quote on shipping call Yellow Freight and ask them for the cost from Bismarck, ND. I will deliver it to the Yellow Freight dock.
