You are bidding on a gorgeous piece of Vintage (nearly antique) Moriage Dragonware made by Noritake / Morimura Brothers between 1913 and 1921 (per the information found below). I bought it at a Dallas estate sale of a former G.I. who purchased it while stationed t around WWII. It stands 4 ½" tall, is black with a gray dragon, and has a luster interior and gold handle. It is in wonderful condition with no apparent cracks or chips. This is a relisting of an earlier listing I had in which I dated this piece during 1940s Occupied Japan . (I'll never know for sure since I purchased them at an estate sale.) I have discovered that the piece is actually pre-WWII and was manufactured by Noritake/Morimura Brothers between 1913 and 1920. is some documentation to back this up. "MM Wreath "Hand Painted Japan " red stamp mark - circa 1913-1920" with a photograph of the exact same mark as on this piece (/orientalcats/marks.html#hinode) "The earliest pieces of Noritake china bear the back stamp of the letter read more
