This auction is for a wooden, two drawer jewelry box with a mechanical bird in a cage at the top. I think it dates from the 1950's or 60's. When the bottom drawer is opened, it's music box movement plays "Strangers in the Night" and the the bird swings back and forth on a small wire. The steel cage is a little pitted and could use some polishing and the fabric is a little dusty. The bird only has one feather left in it's tail, but it still displays pretty well and it is in good working order. It was made in Japan for Norleans and it has a small label on the bottom. It measures about 11" x 7" x 5 1/2". Low minimum bid!
