We have for your viewing and bidding pleasure a vintage pair of collectible solid brass cowboy Western spurs.They are NORTH & JUDD.We have photo'd information out of a spur book docutmentarying the star brand and HERCULES BRONZE marks.We believe these spurs to be rather unique due to the fact that on one side of each of the spur bands t is a vintage Mexican coin.Also the rowel on each spur are made out of vintage MEXICAN coins.On the coins on one side they are marked UN PESO ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS.Two of the coins are marked with the date 1957,the other 2 coins are marked with the dates 1960 and 1961.All the coins are the same size and measure 1 3/8" across.On the other side of the coins they all have a side bust portrait of what appears to be a General or Conquistador.The coins show aging and some wear.One of the coins on one rowel has got 3 little dings on one edge.On one side of the spur bands they have an engraved leaf pattern.In front on this is the star brand.On the other side of the spur band just below the spur button it is marked "HERCULES" BRONZE.The 2 1/8" spur shanks have chap guards.The coins and spurs show aged patina and the brass has some spotting from age and time.On one side of the shanks on both spurs they have been scraped towards the end just in front of w the rowel pin is.W the spur band starts to go on the read more
