This a Mint NOS 1956 California License Plate # YRN 512 that's in the Original envelope issued when Edmund Brown was the Govenor of California. I have had this plate since 1970. I bought it in Napa California. I had this plate put away for my 1956 Chevrolet Nomad. It has never been on a car.This would be an extremely nice plate to display at a car shows or to use on your 1956. T is faint line in the metal not the paint the paint is perfect. This is from the stamping in the area near the number 5. This by no means takes away from the plates NOS condition but I thought it best to mention it. I like original NOS Vintage items and this is one that fits that category. The California Plate # YRN 512 is also printed on the envelope as seen in the photos. As you can see the envelope is torn on the end that is open. T is no paper missing it is just torn and could be repaired with some tape. I will leave that for the high bidder to do. This auction is for the following items. The License Plate, The Envelope, The Paper that covered the plate while inside the envelope. If your a license plate collector then this is something for you to consider. T is only one plate and this is the only one we ever had.
