Absolutely exquisite solid sterling silver two piece belt buckle; Victorian - Art Nouveau era. It has a center pillar fountain; acanthus leaves; scrolls; large 5 petal flowers; small leaves with veins; and dragons - a mix of gothic. Each piece has the same design and each piece is signed and hallmarked on the FRONT; in the flower petals. The backs differ only with the buckle mechanisms loop and catch. They are also both deeply stamped with the number "1388". Together, when clasped, they measure 4-1/4" across x 2-3/8 widest. Total weight is 66 Grams. As for the markings, hopefully visible in photos: The left side flowers appear to be marked with the letter "W" at the top; "SS" at the left; a much larger letter "H" center; amperstand "&" mark beneath the H; and on the right either "LO", "LD", "LC", or "LG"? The right side flowers are hallmarked with a walking LION facing left; a cougar, leopard, or cat head; and the letter "b" in lower case. Even though it has unfortunately been shined recently, the deeper recesses retain the dark, aged patina and contrast nicely. Packaged weight will be under 1# . PLEASE EMAIL ANY QUESTIONS.
