Gorgeous Card Catalog Vintage oak library card catalog. There is one cabinet with 60 drawers. In the center there are three pull-out boards for writing. The cabinet sits on a matchingstand. The two pieces come apart for easier moving. However, this piece is all oak, and therefore quite heavy. The drawers are complete with the rods insidefor holding the catalog cards; all but one brass knob is here. The entire set is 60 inches (5') tall. It measures 43 inches wide and 19 inches deep. It is really, really striking.I purchased it when the school in Ewing, Missouri was closing. It appears that they got it from Culver-Stockton College in Canton, Missouri (there is a metal inventory tag on the side). We have been using it in our store but are now switching to (boring) conventional shelving. The card catalog was used in two real libraries, so it shows some wear and tear. Some of the finish is not like it once was; this is reflected in the price. As stated above, the unit is very heavy. It took 4 very strong guys to move it into place. We are NOT able to move it for you - you will need to bring a truck and some buff helpers. We do have a piano dolly that you can use.We are located in Rutledge, Missouri. It is approximately 45 miles east of Kirksville, MO, and 50 miles west of Quincy, IL, a 3 1/2 hour drive from both Kansas City and St. Louis. read more
