Vintage oak puzzle box for holding sewing machine attachments for the early Singer treadle sewing machines. Comes with a large amount of the original attachments. Patented 1889 February 19 is engraved on the top of the box.
Great condition, beautiful patina with dovetailed joints at the ends. Folds up like a puzzle, closes and latches perfectly. When closed it measures approx. 6 1/2'' x 3 1/4'' and 12 1/2'' long when opened flat. Purple velvet cloth lining in beautiful condition. Comes with attachments shown all in great, clean condition. I'm not sure of the names of all of the attachments but are some: Singer Ruffler (marked with an S), Singer Tucker, Under braider foot part number 25542, Hemmer foot number 25533, another foot numbered 35857, and 26152.
