VINTAGE OCCUPIED JAPAN PORCELAIN FIGURINE What people fail to know when it comes to the collection of Occupied Japan pieces, is that immediately following the War, when U.S. troops were stationed in Japan, anything exported from Japan had to have somew on it " Occupied Japan ". So this held true for small figurines made with lesser quality " ingredients " to fine Porcelain Houses using only the finest of ingredients, and having the best Artists hand painting plates, figurines, etc.. Tfore the quality of statues, figurines, and plates having occupied Japan inked on them can vary greatly. Offering in this auction is a figurine which has used more than one firing of its glazes, rarely seen except done on high quality pieces in creating the most Beautiful statues figurines, etc.. Standing 6 1/4 inches tall is a Victorian man in which particular attention should be placed on the Beauty of its Glazed Finish. The porcelain finish which is white is quite smooth with a high gloss finish. Was the offwhite color used on the underside of his green coat has a rougher finish, almost raw, bisque like. All paintwork and small facial details, are of high quality, superbly done, creating a most quality piece to be enjoyed by its owner. Enjoy.
