This vintage old Mescalero Apache basket comes from the estate of an avid collector of Native American art and artifacts. We believe it is circa 1930's. This basket with four red thunderbirds has rim damage and is worn on the bottom (see pictures). It still has the leather hand hold in the back. The red thunderbirds are darker on the outside, exposure to the sun has faded the design in the bowl of the basket. This unique old LARGE basket measures 14" in diameter, 3.8" tall with a 44" circumference . Please contact us if you have any additional questions.
