DESCRIPTION: The item up for auction is an authentic, Arkansas hand-made knife that was acquired from an old Gun Shop in Little Rock that went out of business. An individual named L J Church made this particular knife and I believe it to have been made sometime in the 1960's or 70's. I don't know much about Mr. Church, but the knife is tight and of very high quality. As a side-note, another Arkansas blade smith named Rinke also made knives that were in the same collection and they, too are of high quality. BLADE: The blade measures 5 ½ inches in length with a rudimentary fuller running ¾ the length of the blade with a 1-inch false edge. The blade is made of steel and has been buffed to a high shine; I do not believe it to be a plated blade. It is quite sharp, including ½ inch of the false edge. T is some minor rust near the ricasso but it seems to be superficial. On the obverse side of the ricasso area is stamped read more
