Very rare original Fenton Butterfly Ornament - blue color. Wingspan measures 3 inches across. Through various references, t are said to be less than 50 or so of these butterflies in existence.

These were reportedly given as tokens of appreciation by Fenton when customers made significant purchases. They were at times attached to glass basket handles. The underside of the butterfly has rough glass w perhaps that was the case with this particular piece of glass.

Condition is excellent. No noted defects or damage, no cracks, chips or flea bites, no air bubbles. Irridescence is not worn off. This butterfly appears to have been stored and not subjected to much handling.

Because of the rarity of this item, comparisons will be difficult to find. is your opportunity to purchase a truely rare piece of carnival glass.
