Offered for auction is this neat old vintage " MOTOROLA " TRANSISTOR RADIO . Purchased at an Antique Store several weeks ago right in Kansas. Black plastic case with chrome plated metal front and speaker grill. Turquoise blue colored decorative accent on the front, and marked; MOTOROLA - ' M ' (logo). Label on the interior of the back is marked; MODEL X15E - SER. NO. 4986 - BATTERY OPERATED TRANSISTOR RADIO - ....Use One Eveready No. 226 or Equivalent Nine Volt Battery.... - ETC., ETC. . Back side of the case is marked; ' M ' (logo) - SIX TRANSISTOR . On / Off / Volume and Channel Selector controls on the right hand side. Plug in jack for an ear plug on the right hand side. Black colored looped cord with swivel for carrying on the left hand side. Bottom has a rotating metal bar that allows the radio to stand upright. Stands 4 3/16" tall, 2 3/4" wide (not including the cord swivel), and 1 1/2" deep . Condition cosmetically, considering its age, is good. Shows overall general wear and soiling from use, storage and handling, with a small 3/16" by 5/8" chip of the case broken off and missing from the upper right hand side (above the On/Off/Volume dial), another small thin chip (1/8" by 3/4") broken off and missing at the bottom of the right hand side w the back snaps on to the case (the back still snaps on but is not very secure), and read more
