Description: Vintage Old Sleepy Eye Stoneware Vase! This auction is for a vintage blue & white Old Sleepy Eye flour stoneware vase. This is an old vase made for the Sleepy Eye Flour & Milling Company that is located in Sleepy Eye Minnesota. The vase dates back to the late 1800's or early 1900's. The vase depicts a very beautiful raised design of cattails and a dragonfly on the oneside of the vase and the Indian Chief Old Sleepy Eye on the other. The vase measures 8 1/2" tall and 4" across the top. It is in very good condition, no chips, or wear but it does have two very tight hairline cracks that extend down the side about 3" each, these are much more noticable from the inside, one crack can not be seen from the outside and the other crack is hardly noticeable from the outside because it extends down right along the raised blue line that runs the length of the vase. This is a fine old piece of pottery that will truely grace any Sleepy Eye collection! Winning bidder to pay actual USPS priority shipping charges and MN res. pay 6.5% sales tax. Insurance is always recommended and encouraged but not required.
