Description Vintage Omega Gents Watch Calibre 266 80 microns Gold Case. Detail This auction is for a vintage Omega watch - it dates from the early 1950s.The watch has a great design, typical of the period in which it was made.The dial has a silver middle section with gold coloured outer ring. The hands and batoms are gold, broad dagger style. There is a subsidiary second dial at 6 o'clock.The crown is the original Omega one with the !! That is one heck of a thick coating of gold, signifying quality. When I first got this watch I thought the case was gold, it certainly looks like gold.Removing the back case reveals the inner markings on the case, "Omega Watch Co Plaque Or 80 Microns Central Watch Co 2512-13".The movement is an excellent quality manual wind calibre 266, serial number 145xxxxx, which dates it to circa 1954.The watch comes on a replacement leather strap, however I have refitted the vintage Omega buckle to it Condition As watch is in good original condition, running well and keeping good time. As you will see from the photos there is some wear to the dial, the case and crown are however excellent. I cold have had the dial restored (a relatively straightforward job), however not everyone likes restored dials so I thought it best to leave this up to the new owner to decidePlease see my photgraphs for more details of the
